Internationalization: features and bugs

Codepages on VGA, Unicode support, XLATE keyboard mode bug and more. I'm not sure that will ever take part in bugs elimination. But this note can help somebody who seek for an information on Linux console internationalization.

SVGATextMode: enjoy non-standard (S)VGA text modes!

A brief annotation of the wonderful SVGATextMode utility. Everybody who work much with console, use a standard Linux VGA driver and have a monitor able to hold the line frequency at least of 35kHz, must have this utility IMHO.

General resources on the Linux console:

Linux Console Tools
These tools load fonts and translation tables to a standard Linux VGA driver. Also load keymaps.

The Linux Console Project
An alternative approach to the problem of the text console. Attempt to create the console interface completely independent of a hardware.
